About me and the material I use...
Hello,
My name is Rochelle and I have been creating these unique artworks for the past 14 years.
As a child I loved being outdoors skipping pebbles across a lake and “treasure hunting”. As an adult I found that I can combine those pebbles and odd “treasures” into unique artworks.
My simple artworks feature found objects from all over the world such as pebbles, wood, sea glass, sea pottery, sea shells, wire, rusty metal and repurposed objects.
Both the created artwork image and the unique materials used, tell their own “story”.
I especially like that my framed artworks are touchable. You can pick them up or turn them around to see all sides. You can visually explore and carefully touch the materials with your hands and enjoy the details and history that each items holds, nothing is hidden behind glass.
Each artwork is labeled with a description of where the materials, used in the design, were found.
