I found this 1959 New York thruway license plate while digging in the mud at the abandoned village dump.
After doing some research I found that the New York Thruway Authority was created and began issuing the license plates in 1955 to official vehicles ie: county or state vehicles.
I used rusty tacks from Arizona to adhere the license plate to this 150 year old wood plank from a barn in Cazenovia New York.
Plank is 10.25” long and 5.5” tall.
